Addiction Treatment Programs

There is no one-size-fits-all approach to addiction treatment, which is why our programs fit the uniqueness of each patient, ensuring that everyone receives the best possible care. Some program options at Evoke Waltham include our intensive outpatient program, medication-assisted treatment, and day treatment.

Intensive Outpatient

Our intensive outpatient program (IOP) allows patients the freedom they need to continue along in their day-to-day lives while continuing to stay involved in a less intensive level of addiction treatment. Patients can maintain a job and continue employing the life skills they have learned in real-life situations while processing all recovery-related challenges in a safe and supportive group setting. The IOP program was specially designed to provide patients with a built-in community of like-minded individuals with whom they can continue to hone communication skills and offer peer support. An IOP program can be suitable for someone who has already completed residential treatment and requires less supervision than what other programs provide.

Medication-Assisted Treatment

Our medication-assisted treatment (MAT) allows our patients to detox from drugs and alcohol under the close supervision of our highly trained medical staff. This program is designed for patients struggling with moderate to severe substance use disorders and requiring medication to safely detox and recover. Our treatment team will work closely with each patient to determine which medications are best suited for their individual needs. MAT programs can last anywhere from a few weeks to several months, depending on the severity of the addiction and the progress made by the patient.

Day Treatment

Our day treatment program was developed by a team of licensed therapists, psychologists, and addiction specialists with combined decades of clinical experience. We believe addiction treatment needs to be personalized and thoroughly integrated to succeed long-term. Integrated care considers the physical body and mental health well-being. The day treatment program includes daily group therapy sessions, weekly one-on-one therapy, and group sessions geared towards life and coping skills development.

This level of care can last for as little as three months and as long as six months, depending on personal needs. Before you complete the program, your case manager will help you develop a long-term aftercare plan for your future recovery.
