Build a foundation for lasting recovery from addiction

a man sits on a couch in front of a therapist sitting in a chair talking about the man's intensive outpatient programEvoke Waltham is dedicated to providing integrated and individualized programs like our intensive outpatient program. Addiction treatment is far from a one-size-fits-all. Attending a three-month-long residential treatment program is not an option for many people, but that doesn’t mean treatment is totally out of the question.

Our daytime and nighttime intensive outpatient program (IOP) provides a higher level of flexibility, allowing patients to return home after undergoing a full day of intensive therapy at our center or attending our virtual tele-health therapy in the evening. We provide life skills training, relapse prevention, mental health therapy and addiction education. We also recognize that meeting in person is not always possible and provide virtual telehealth services during the evening. Patients may have dependents that need full-time attention, school during the day or a high-commitment profession with strict work requirements. If this is the case, an intensive outpatient program at Evoke Waltham could be an ideal choice. Learn more about our addiction treatment programs by calling us at 866.276.1920.

Is an Intensive Outpatient Program Right for Me?

While an intensive outpatient program is more flexible, it still provides a high level of accountability and structure. Patients have access to the same services as a traditional residential treatment program. The only difference is that people in an intensive outpatient program can return home every evening or attend the program in the convenience of their own home, dorm, or any private space and have significant personal freedom and responsibility. If you have recently completed a higher level of clinical care or have personal commitments that prevent you from taking an extended break, our IOP could be a great alternative. Some benefits of an intensive outpatient program are:

  • Allowing patients to return home every evening
  • Attend IOP from home, dorm, or any private space in the evening
  • Giving patients more personal freedom and responsibility
  • Access to educational lectures, life skills training, and relapse prevention resources.
  • Being more flexible than a traditional residential treatment program

If you or someone you love is struggling with addiction, don’t hesitate to reach out to Evoke Waltham. We can provide more information about our intensive outpatient program and help you decide if it’s the right level of care for your needs.

What Happens in an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)?

Some therapeutic techniques utilized in an IOP include cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), solution-focused therapy, motivational interviewing, and mindfulness meditation. We believe that the more actively involved a family is in a patient’s treatment process, the more likely the patient is to maintain sobriety long-term. Family members can be as involved as they would like, and we offer a wide range of services and resources geared toward helping our patients and their loved ones.

If you're ready to start your journey to recovery, we're here to help.
